Alright so earlier today I got this itch to check some old Premier League stats from 2015 – totally random, I know. Was arguing with my mate Dave about which team actually had the worst defensive record that season. Needed cold, hard facts.

The Search Begins (And Sucks At First)
Hopped straight onto Google like anyone would. Typed in something lazy like “2015 premier league table pdf”. Boom. Tons of results. Clicked the first few. Ugh. Total junk. Either weird sites wanting me to sign up for stuff, or pages buried under a mountain of ads. One even looked kinda sketchy, like my antivirus would yell at me. Not cool.
- Tried Again: Got smarter with the search. Added words like “official” and “final standings” and “download stats”. Still messy.
- Filtering Time: Spotted the search tools button. Flipped it to show only PDFs. Way better! Suddenly, results looked less like spam traps.
Finding the Good Stuff
Finally saw a result that seemed legit. It mentioned the Premier League itself clearly. Clicked it. YES! Landed on a page that looked proper clean, like it belonged to the actual league authorities, you know? They usually keep archives.
Right there, near the top, was a link saying “Download 2014/2015 Season Final Standings & Statistics (PDF)”. Exactly what I needed.
Check Before You Click
Now, I’m careful. Learned that lesson before! Hovered my mouse over the download link. At the bottom of the browser, it showed the web address ending in “.pdf”. Good sign. The site name in the address bar also looked official, matching what I expected. Didn’t see any weird extra characters or stuff that looked off. Decided it was probably safe.
Getting the Goods
Clicked it. Browser popped up the usual save window. Named the file something I’d remember: “EPL_2015_Table_Full_Stats”. Hit save. Watched that little bar fill up nice and quick – it wasn’t a huge file, maybe a meg or two? Done in seconds.

Opening & Double-Checking
Opened the PDF straight away. Scrolled through. Perfect! Full table, every team, points, goals for, goals against, even fair play stuff. Pages of stats like top scorers, most assists. Everything was clean and clear, just tables and numbers. No ads stuck in it, no weird formatting. Exactly the official final table I wanted. Confirmed Dave was wrong, obviously. Feels good.
Saved it into my “Football Stats” folder on the desktop. Done. Mission accomplished. Simple in the end, but man, finding that needle in the junk-filled haystack took some trial and error!
