Okay, so, I’ve been glued to the F1 races all season, and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the one I was really looking forward to. I mean, the final race of the season, right? It’s always a big deal.
So, I started the day like any other race day. Woke up, made myself some coffee, and settled in on the couch. Got my snacks ready, because you can’t watch F1 without snacks, obviously. At some point, Verstappen crossed the line in sixth place, and then Pierre Gasly followed him. I mean, he’s a world champion, you can never count him out. It felt like the constructors’ title that was still to be fought for in Abu Dhabi. But seriously, there were times I thought my heart was going to explode from the tension. My eyes were glued to the TV, watching every move, every pit stop, every little thing that could change the outcome.
In the end, Norris managed to hold on and take the win. I literally jumped off the couch and cheered. It was such an amazing moment, seeing him cross the finish line first. I felt so happy for him, you know? All that hard work throughout the season, and it paid off in the final race. After the race, I went online to check out the final standings. I found that Fernando Alonso finished in ninth place, and Piastri rounded off the top 10. I wanted to see how everyone else did, and where they ended up in the championship. It’s always interesting to see the final points tally after a long season.
To sum it all up, it was a nail-biting race, but seeing Lando Norris win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the perfect ending to the season. That’s it, the season was over and the final standings were there.
