Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I’m gonna share my little adventure about FIFA and that guy, Messi, on the cover. You know, the football game, FIFA? Yeah, that one. And Messi, the football dude, one of the best, they say.
So, I was digging around, trying to figure out what’s the deal with Messi being on the FIFA cover so many times. First thing I did was to check out when he first showed up on the cover. Turns out, he’s been there since FIFA 13. Not the very first FIFA game, though. That one had some guys named David Platt and Piotr Swierczewski. Never heard of ’em, to be honest, but they were the first ones in 1993.
Next, I went through each game cover featuring Messi. Here’s the lowdown:
- FIFA 13: There he was, Messi, front and center. I think this was the first time he graced the cover.
- FIFA 14: Still Messi, looking all serious and focused, like he’s about to score a goal or something.
- FIFA 15: Yep, Messi again. It’s like they couldn’t get enough of the guy.
- FIFA 16: You guessed it, Messi. I started to see a pattern here.
- FIFA Street, and he was also on FIFA Online 3.
After going through all those covers, I started to think about why Messi? It seems like he was the go-to guy for FIFA. Some say he’s one of the greatest players ever, winning the Ballon d’Or eight times. Eight! That’s a lot of golden balls. He also got three The Best FIFA Men’s Player awards. He’s all over the records and stuff. Holds the most FIFA World Cup games record for men’s, as well.
Then, I also noticed that other big shots like Cristiano Ronaldo were also on the FIFA cover a few times, but Messi, man, he was like the king of FIFA covers for a while there. It’s like they were saying, “If you want the best, you gotta put the best on the cover.”
So, that’s my little investigation into the Messi and FIFA cover saga. It’s just a game, I know, but it’s interesting to see how they choose who gets to be on the cover. It’s like a little piece of football history, all wrapped up in a video game.
