Okay so I was rewatching The 100 last weekend – yeah that gritty sci-fi show where teenagers drop onto radioactive Earth. Got curious about Wells Jaha after noticing he vanished early on. Couldn’t remember if he just left or actually died, so I dove down the rabbit hole.
First I grabbed my laptop and straight up searched “Does Wells die in The 100” on the fan wikis. Spotted a huge red “DECEASED” banner right under his picture. Felt kinda bummed even though I knew his character wasn’t popular.
Now I needed the exact moment. Pulled up Netflix and started scrubbing through episodes fast-forward style like a madman. Checked Season 1 Episode 4 – still alive arguing with Bellamy. Then flipped to Episode 5 called “Twilight’s Last Gleaming” where things get wild. Around minute 38, boom! There it was: that little girl Charlotte straight-up stabs him in the neck with a knife. Brutal stuff. Clarke holds him while he chokes on blood – lasted maybe 30 seconds tops.
Funny thing? Totally misremembered the reason too. Thought he died heroically defending someone but nah – Charlotte murdered him because she blamed Wells for her parents’ execution. Dark twist I’d totally forgotten after first watch. Whole thing happened so early – just five episodes in! Honestly felt shocked all over again seeing how sudden it went down.
So yeah mystery solved: Season 1 Episode 5 around the 38-minute mark. Guy got knifed by a traumatized kid near some supply crates. Rest in peace space prince – your haircut was terrible but you tried.
