Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at this “foot up” thing. It’s basically holding yourself up, balancing on just your feet, kinda like you’re starting a handstand but you never actually go all the way over.

First, I found a good spot. I started on the carpet, figured it’d be softer if (when) I fell. Tried it a few times, and whoa, it’s harder than it looks! My wrists were not happy, and my core felt like jelly.
I watched some people doing it, trying to see how they got their feet up and where they put their weight. Seems like you gotta really push through your shoulders and get your hips up high. Easier said than done!
Then, the real work began. I started by just getting into a sort of crouched position, hands flat on the floor, knees tucked in. From there, I tried to lift one foot, then the other. Lots of wobbling, lots of falling. My cat thought it was hilarious.
I kept practicing, trying to get both feet up at the same time. Sometimes I’d get a split second of balance, other times I’d just faceplant. Progress was slow, and I mean really slow.
My Little “Aha!” Moment
I finally realized I was trying to rush it. Instead of just kicking my feet up, I started focusing on really engaging my core, squeezing everything tight. I also paid more attention to where my hands were – spreading my fingers wide seemed to help.

- Crouch down, hands flat.
- Engage that core! Like, really squeeze.
- Slowly lift one foot, then the other.
- Push through the shoulders.
- Keep trying!
It still wasn’t perfect, but I could hold it for a few seconds! I’m definitely not giving up. It’s gonna take more practice, more wobbling, and probably more near-faceplants. But hey, I’m getting there!
