Okay, so, I’ve always been into earrings, you know? But it’s such a pain to find the ones I really like in regular stores. They’re all so…blah. Usually, I end up on online shops, looking for something unique, something that screams “me.”
This time, I thought, “Why not make my own?” I mean, how hard could it be, right? I decided to go with garnets because, well, they’re gorgeous. That deep red color? Yes, please!
First, I grabbed some basic jewelry-making supplies from a local craft store. Nothing fancy, just some pliers, wire, and jump rings. Then came the fun part – picking out the garnets! I found these beautiful, faceted garnet beads online. They were a bit pricey, but hey, I was making something special.
Once everything arrived, I laid it all out on my table. It looked a bit intimidating, I’m not gonna lie. But I took a deep breath and started with the simplest design – a pair of garnet stud earrings. I used the pliers to open up a jump ring, threaded a garnet bead onto an earring post, and then closed the jump ring. Easy peasy!

In the end, I ended up with a whole collection of garnet earrings! Studs, dangles, and some fancy wire-wrapped ones. They’re not perfect, but they’re mine, and I love them. Plus, it’s so satisfying to wear something that I made with my own two hands. I might even start selling them. Who knows! This could be the start of a whole new adventure.
