Okay, so the other day I was messing around with some photos and I got this idea to try out a “girl filter.” I’ve seen these things all over social media, and I was curious to see how it would work and what I’d look like.

First, I needed to find a filter. I’ve got a few photo editing apps on my phone, so I started by checking those. I opened up each one and poked around in the effects and filters sections. Nothing really jumped out at me as a dedicated “girl filter,” though. There are plenty of beauty filters and things to smooth your skin or whatever, but that is not I want.
So, I jumped onto the app store and typed in “girl filter” to see photo editor app can do the trick. I downloaded a couple of the top results – the ones with the best reviews and lots of downloads. I figured those were the most likely to be what I was looking for.
After I download app, I launch it and I need to upload picture. I choose a selfie, a pretty standard one, nothing fancy and I start tapping around to the “filter” section.
Then I found the “gender swap” option. I tap it, and whoa! The app changed my face, it added longer hair, softened my jawline, and even seemed to put on some subtle makeup, I get the result of Girl Filter!
