Alright, so I wanted to figure out how to put together one of those parlays on DraftKings. You know, the ones where you bet on multiple things happening in games and if they all hit, you win big? Yeah, those. I’d seen people talking about them and it sounded fun, so I decided to give it a shot.
Getting Started
First, I opened up the DraftKings app on my phone. I already had an account, but if you don’t, you’ll need to create one. It’s pretty straightforward, just follow the prompts.
Picking My Games
Once I was logged in, I browsed through the different sports and games available. They have a ton of options, from football and basketball to more niche stuff. I decided to stick with NFL games since that’s what I know best. I picked a few games that I thought had some interesting matchups.
Making My Selections
This is where the parlay part comes in. For each game, I started clicking on the different bets I wanted to include. You can bet on things like who will win the game, the total points scored, or even individual player performances. I added a few different bets for each game to my bet slip.
- In the first game, I took the favorite to win and the over on the total points.
- In the second game, I bet on the underdog to cover the spread and a specific player to score a touchdown.
- And in the third game, I picked the favorite to win and the under on the total points.
Combining into a Parlay
Once I had all my selections in the bet slip, I looked for the option to combine them into a parlay. It’s usually pretty obvious, something like “Create Parlay” or “Parlay Bets.” I clicked on that, and it showed me the potential payout if all my bets hit. It was way higher than if I had just bet on each game individually, which was exciting!
Placing the Bet
After I reviewed everything and made sure I was happy with my picks, I entered the amount I wanted to bet. Then I just hit the button to place the bet, and that was it! My parlay was live.
Now, all I had to do was wait and see if my predictions were right. It definitely added an extra layer of excitement to watching the games. Unfortunately, my parlay didn’t hit this time. But it was still a fun experience, and I’ll definitely try it again sometime. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time!
