I figured raising rabbits would be the obvious way. Built a deluxe coop back in Spring Year 2. Bought two cute rabbits from Marnie for 8,000g each – ouch! Fed them every single day, patted their fuzzy heads constantly. Nothing happened for like two whole seasons! Got mad wool instead of feet. Then Summer Year 3 rolled around and bam – woke up to a rabbit’s foot in the coop autocollector. Took almost a dang year but it worked!
Second Attempt: Cave Murder Spree
Got impatient after Fall Year 2 and decided to force the issue. Grabbed my best sword, stocked up on spicy eel and bombs. Headed straight to the Skull Cavern on a max luck day. Took like eight floors deep before I saw any serpents. Those flying snake jerks are tough! Died twice trying to get swarmed. Finally on run three, I killed maybe twenty serpents near level 15 when PLONK – purple foot dropped! Super dangerous method but way faster than waiting on bunnies.
Last Resort: Cart Lady Gambling
Between bunny raising and cave runs, I religiously visited the Traveling Cart every Friday/Sunday. Saw it ONCE for 2,500g back in Winter Year 1 but was broke buying fruit trees. Big regret! Kept checking religiously next two years. Saw:
- Dinosaur egg (bought it immediately)
- Ancient seed (snatched that too)
- But no rabbit foot after that first time
Honestly? The cart’s garbage for feet unless you get insanely lucky early game.

- Serpent hunting is risky but quick if you prep right
- Traveling Cart? Forget about it unless you see it early
