impenetrable thorns elden ring build: How to Cheese Through the Game Easily

Alright, so, I wanted to try out this “Impenetrable Thorns” build in Elden Ring. It sounded cool, right? Like you’re just a walking fortress of pain. So, I jumped in and started messing around.

Getting Started

First thing I did was grab the Briar set. You know, the one that makes you look like a thorny bush. I went and farmed those Fire Prelates in Mountaintops of the Giants. Took a while, but I got the whole set eventually. Oh boy, it was a pain, but whatever.

Experimenting with Gear

Next, I had to find the right shield. After trying a bunch, I settled on the Fingerprint Stone Shield. It just seemed to have the best stats for what I was going for. Plus, it looks pretty badass, which is always a bonus. The thing is, it is not easy to get it, I spent almost two hours to finish all the procedures and get it.

Then, I looked for a weapon. I played around with a few different ones, but ended up liking the basic whip. I mean, any whip works, really. I just happened to have a plain one lying around, so I used that. Not a special one at all. And for the incantation, I obviously went with Briars of Sin. It’s like the whole point of the build.

Putting It All Together

Once I had all the pieces, I started testing it out. The idea is to roll into enemies to damage them with the Briar armor, then use the shield and whip to finish them off. And let me tell you, it’s pretty funny watching enemies just bounce off you. I also threw in some Talismans like the Ritual Sword Talisman and the Green Turtle Talisman to improve my fighting. I even put Fire Scorpion Charm into the list. I felt these things would be helpful. I am not sure if it is the most optimal option.

The Result

  • Rollin’, Rollin’, Rollin’: Seriously, most of the time I’m just rolling around like a crazy person. It’s surprisingly effective.
  • Shield Up: When things get hairy, the Fingerprint Stone Shield is a lifesaver. It blocks almost everything.
  • Whip It Good: The whip is great for keeping enemies at a distance and finishing them off when they’re low on health. I like the feeling to use it.
  • Thorny Situation: Briars of Sin is good for crowd control and adding some extra damage. But it costs a lot of FP.

All in all, this build is a blast to play. It’s not the most powerful or efficient, but it’s definitely one of the most fun. If you’re looking for something different to try in Elden Ring, give the “Impenetrable Thorns” build a shot. You won’t regret it!

This is just what I did, though. There are probably tons of other ways to make this build work. I am just sharing my experience and welcome to discuss and share.
