Okay, so today I decided to dive into something I’ve been seeing all over my feeds: “Marvel Rivals.” Specifically, I wanted to get a good handle on playing Iron Man. Here’s how it went down.

First Steps: Getting Started
First, I downloaded the game. I watched some gameplay videos, so I figured Iron Man, with his flight and ranged attacks, would be a good fit for me.
Figuring Out the Controls
The basic movement was simple. Flying, though? That took some getting used to. I spent a good 10 minutes just crashing into walls and generally looking like a fool. I started by practicing hovering, then short bursts of flight. Slowly, I began to get the hang of maneuvering around the map.
- Flight: I found using short, controlled bursts was way more effective than trying to zoom everywhere at top speed.
- Repulsors:These were my bread and butter. Practice, practice, practice aiming! I found that leading targets just a bit really helped land those shots.
- Unibeam:Oh man, this thing is powerful. I spent time understanding the charge-up time and when to best unleash it.
- Rockets: Very Cool!
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
“Marvel Rivals” is a team game, and even Iron Man can’t win alone. I learned that pretty quickly when I tried to solo an entire enemy squad. Ouch.
I focused on staying with my team, providing air support, and using my Unibeam to break up enemy formations.
Practice, Practice, Practice
Honestly, the key to getting good with Iron Man is just putting in the time. You need to make using flight second nature, and your aim needs to be on point.
It was a fun ride trying to master him, and there’s still a ton to learn. I’m going to keep at it, and who knows, maybe I’ll see you in the game!
