Got curious about this Oak Hill spot after my buddy Rob mentioned it like five times last week. He kept raving about the golf course. - Guest Fees = Way pricier than just going to TopGolf with friends.

Felt like I was paying a massive premium mostly for bragging rights. And faster tee times. That’s it? Not seeing the magic yet.

Sat on this for a week. Bugged Rob again, asked him point-blank: “Is it REALLY worth like a vacation to Europe every year?”. He kinda dodged, said “the vibe is different.” Not super convincing. So I ran the numbers again. Looked at my actual yearly spending on golf and fun stuff. Saw that Oak Hill would suck up money I use for weekend trips and taking my kids bowling.
Final call? Not for me. Not now anyway. My wallet screamed “no way.” Maybe if I was retired and swimming in cash. Maybe. But right now? Paying per round at other decent courses and using that saved pile for actual vacations feels way smarter. Zero regrets skipping the membership. My savings account thanks me.
