Okay, so, I got my hands on this 2008 Honda CBR1000RR, and I was like, “Let’s see what this baby can do.” I’ve always been a fan of these bikes, and this one’s supposed to be a real beast. Everyone was telling me it is the best liter-sized Honda ever. Of course I have to try it myself.

First off, I took it for a spin around the block, just to get a feel for it. It felt pretty light, which is always a good start. Then, I started pushing it a little harder. I was on the road and there are few cars, so I opened it up, and damn, this thing’s got some serious power. It’s not just fast; it’s like, “hold on tight” fast. I mean, we’re talking way more than 110 horsepower. This thing is like a rocket ship on two wheels. It feels like this bike has endless power.
Handling-wise, it’s super nimble. I was weaving through some cones I set up, and it felt like the bike was just reading my mind. The turns were really smooth, and it felt solid the whole time. I have tried some other bikes that felt a little shaky at high speeds, but this one was rock solid.
I also did a couple of quick acceleration tests. From a dead stop, it just takes off like a bat out of hell. And when you’re already moving and you twist that throttle, it’s like an instant surge of power. It’s definitely the fastest bike I’ve ever ridden, I am sure of this.
So, after a few hours of messing around, here’s my take:
- Power: It has tons of it. Like, seriously, it feels like you could outrun anything.
- Handling: Super agile. It’s like an extension of your body. Very responsive.
- Speed: I mean this bike is as fast as hell. Faster than anything I’ve ever been on.
- Overall: This 2008 CBR1000RR is a monster. It’s everything I hoped for and more. One of the best liter-sized Honda ever, and maybe one of the best bikes I have ever ridden.
If you ever get a chance to ride one of these, do it. Just be ready, because it’s not for the faint of heart. This thing is a serious machine. I am planning to do more tests on this bike, like taking it to the track, and pushing it to its limit. Stay tuned.
