Okay, here’s my blog post about “Western Leone”, written in a casual, personal style, with simple HTML formatting:

So, I started this whole “Western Leone” thing totally on a whim. I saw some pictures online, you know, the usual – breathtaking landscapes, that kind of stuff. I got this crazy idea to kinda recreate it, somehow. I have got no idea, maybe make a 3D model, or paint something, just… something!
Getting My Bearings
First, I dug around for information. Not the easiest thing, it is kind like find the trurh in the mess, but I did. lots of google, lots of pics, I almost get lost in it. I did not know where to start.
- I checked out some maps. The detail maps.
- I watched some travel videos. you know that the beautiful views.
- I found the history document. It is amzing!
After I got a basic understanding, I started to get really into the details. I mean, the colors of the rocks, the types of plants… even the way the light hits the mountains at different times of day! It’s all important, right? I keep looking at it, it’s beautiful.
The “Doing” Part
Okay, so here’s where things got messy. My first attempt at, uh, “recreating” the landscape was… well, let’s just say it involved a lot of cardboard and some very questionable painting skills. My kids laughed, my wife shook her head, and the dog just looked confused. It was a total disaster. But you know, I am happy!
But I didn’t give up! I switched to a digital approach. I messed around with some 3D modeling software – total newbie at this, by the way – and slowly, very slowly, started to build something that kinda, sorta resembled the pictures I’d seen.

It’s still a work in progress, far from perfect. But every time I add a new detail, a new rock formation, a new patch of virtual vegetation, I feel like I’m getting a little bit closer to capturing the essence of that place. It’s, like, a weird connection, you know? I have never really go there!
I am not sure where is the end of this “project”, maybe I will keep learning. I feel great during this process.
