Alright, so today I’m gonna tell you about the time I tried my hand at boxing, specifically this thing called “John Morrison Boxing.” I saw this dude, John Morrison, who used to be a big shot in wrestling, was gonna fight some guy named Harley Morenstein in a boxing match. I thought, “Hey, if he can do it, why can’t I?” So, I decided to give it a shot.

First off, I had to figure out what this “John Morrison Boxing” even was. Turns out, it wasn’t some special kind of boxing, just this guy John Morrison stepping into the boxing ring. This fight was part of an event called Creator Clash 2, which I guess is where internet folks fight each other. This all went down at some place called Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Fancy, huh?
I started by watching some videos of this Morrison guy. He was fighting this Harley from Epic Meal Time, which, if you don’t know, is some YouTube channel where they make crazy big meals. I saw that Morrison was trained by a guy named Josh Barnett and got introduced by some wrestler named Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I didn’t know these guys, but they sounded important.
- Watched the fight: I found a video of the fight online. It was pretty intense.
- Tried to copy moves: I stood in front of my mirror and tried to copy some of the moves I saw Morrison do. Felt kinda silly, but hey, gotta start somewhere.
- Hit the heavy bag: I went to my local gym and started hitting the heavy bag. Man, that thing is tougher than it looks!
- Got some gloves: I didn’t have any boxing gloves, so I went and bought a cheap pair. They smelled weird, but they did the job.
I kept practicing for a few weeks, trying to get the hang of it. I watched more videos of Morrison and other boxers, trying to learn their techniques. I punched that heavy bag until my arms felt like jelly. I even tried sparring with a friend, but we mostly just ended up laughing at each other.
Finally, I decided I was ready to try this “John Morrison Boxing” thing for real. I found a local boxing gym that had open sparring sessions. I went in there, all nervous, but I put on my gloves and stepped into the ring. It was a wild experience. I got hit a lot, but I also managed to land a few punches. It was exhausting, but also kinda fun.
The Result
In the end, I didn’t become some boxing champion or anything. But I did get to experience what it’s like to step into the ring and trade punches. It was a cool way to challenge myself and try something new. And hey, I can now say I tried “John Morrison Boxing,” even though it’s not really a thing. It’s just boxing, inspired by some wrestler-turned-boxer. It was a fun ride, and I’m glad I did it. Maybe I’ll stick with it, maybe I won’t. Who knows? But for now, I’m just happy I gave it a shot.
