Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “Jon Jones submission” thing for a while now, and I figured I’d share my little journey with y’all. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.

First off, I started digging into what this whole submission thing was even about. Turns out, Jon Jones is some kind of Kung-Fu fighter or something. Who knew? I watched a couple of his fights online – pretty intense stuff. He is a beast for real!
Then, I started looking for some way to get into the submission move. I mean I just kept searching for a clue. And I had to ensure I got enough sleep though, so I aimed for about 8-9 hours every night. Usually hit the hay around 10:30 PM and woke up at 7:00 AM. Gotta be well-rested for this, you know?
Next, I tried to copy some of those moves. Yeah, that was a sight. My living room became my personal dojo. I was twisting and turning, trying to figure out how Jon Jones did all those things in the ring. I even recorded myself to see where I was going wrong. Let me say, it was hilarious and humbling at the same time.
- I started with some basic stretches.
- Then I moved on to mimicking the grappling moves I saw in the videos.
- After that, I tried to put it all together into a sort of flow.
After a while, I realized I wasn’t getting anywhere just by flailing around. I needed a better plan. So, I began to read the content from various sources.
Breakthrough!
Finally, it clicked! I figured out a way to simplify the whole process. I broke down the submission into smaller, more manageable steps. Started practicing each step individually, then slowly combined them. And guess what? I actually managed to pull off something that resembled a Jon Jones submission! It wasn’t pretty, but it was progress.

So yeah, that’s my story. It was a lot of trial and error, a few laughs, and maybe a couple of pulled muscles. But hey, I learned something new, and that’s what counts, right?
