First thing I did? I grabbed my phone and typed it and I start to read. I start sifting through this, trying to make sense of it all. I’m no horse expert, okay? I needed to get the basics down.

  • Bay: I learned this is like a reddish-brown body with a black mane, tail, and lower legs. Easy enough.
  • Chestnut: This one’s kind of a reddish color all over. Some are light, some are dark, but basically, they’re redheads. Got it.
  • Black: Okay, this one’s self-explanatory. A black horse. Boom.
  • Gray: These horses are born dark and get lighter as they age. Interesting.
  • Palomino: This is like a golden-colored horse with a white or silver mane and tail. Kind of fancy!
