The “What the Heck?” Moment
Honestly, I thought my Kingsn was bulletproof. Used it daily for months, smooth sailing. Then BAM! Yesterday morning, plugged it in like usual, ready to go… and nothing. Screen stayed blank. Nada. Zip. Just totally dead. Checked the power socket, swapped a different device in – yep, power was fine. My Kingsn? Acting like I didn’t even exist. Massive facepalm moment. Utterly useless.

Time to Roll Up Sleeves
Panic didn’t help last time, so I dug in. Figured I’d share exactly what I did, step-by-step, messy and all.
Fix 1: The Basic Reboot (Always Start Here)
- Unplugged the Kingsn power cable completely from the wall. Felt the adapter – wasn’t even warm.
- Left it sitting there, powerless, for a solid minute. Made coffee. Stared at it impatiently.
- Jam that power plug back in. Listened hard… heard the faintest little click from the power brick? Or did I imagine it?
- Waited a whole 30 seconds. Still nothing. Crap. Okay, next.
Fix 2: The Cable Shuffle
Maybe the cable went bad? Happened to my phone charger once.
- Grabbed the USB cable connecting the Kingsn box to the power brick.
- Unplugged it from both ends – the brick AND the Kingsn.
- Rummaged around my junk drawer (seriously, why do I keep these things?) and found another USB-C cable that looked sturdy.
- Plugged the new cable into the power brick and the other end firmly into the Kingsn.
- Waited… prayed a little… nope. Still blank. Dead as a doornail. Sigh.
Fix 3: Let’s Blame the TV

Maybe the Kingsn was fine, but the TV wasn’t seeing it? Signal got lost somewhere.
- Grabbed the TV remote. Hit that Input/Source button like it owed me money.
- Scrolled through the inputs: HDMI 1 (Roku), HDMI 2 (Game console)… found HDMI 3 – that’s where the Kingsn was plugged.
- Selected HDMI 3. Screen flickered… then went black again. No Kingsn sign.
- Got desperate: Yanked the HDMI cable out of the Kingsn AND the TV port.
- Plugged it back in, pushing hard on both sides to make sure it was seated.
- Selected HDMI 3 again on the TV. STILL nothing. Starting to get seriously annoyed now. Wasted half my morning.
Fix 4: App Tango on the Phone
The Kingsn app on my phone – maybe that was the troublemaker?
- Opened my phone. Swiped up to see all running apps. Saw the Kingsn app running in the background.
- Swiped it away. Force Closed that thing. Wanted a fresh start.
- Went back to my home screen, found the Kingsn app icon, tapped it open.
- App loaded… showed it was “Searching…” for the Kingsn device. Spun and spun… then a sad “Device Offline” message. Ugh.
Fix 5: The Big Guns – Factory Reset
Okay, last resort. Wasn’t looking forward to setting everything up again, but gotta work, right?

- Flipped the Kingsn device over. Found the tiny little reset button hole near the ports. Needed a paperclip.
- Straightened one end of the paperclip, jammed it into the hole.
- Held it down firmly for a solid 10 seconds. Counted slowly… felt longer.
- Let go. Unplugged the power cable for about 10 seconds, then plugged it back in.
- Watched the Kingsn like a hawk. This time… a tiny LED blinked on the front! Then turned steady white. Holy crap, it worked!
- TV screen finally woke up – showed the Kingsn setup screen. Had to go through the whole pairing process again in the app, but hey, it was ALIVE!
So What Actually Worked?
Turns out, it was the dang factory reset (Fix 5). Who knows what little glitch got stuck in its brain? All the other stuff – rebooting, cable swapping, TV checks, app closing – that’s just good practice to eliminate simple stuff first. But when it seems totally bricked, that tiny reset button hole is your lifesaver. Just be ready to set it up fresh like it’s brand new outta the box. Saved my streaming setup – hope it helps if yours goes nuts too!
