Okay, here is my sharing about being a Liverpool mascot:

So, I got to be a mascot for Liverpool. You know, the whole getup, the bird costume, the works. It was a wild ride, let me tell you. I’ve always been a massive Liverpool fan, and I’d always dreamed about being on the field, but this was something else entirely.
It all started when I saw this thing online about the club looking for someone to be Mighty Red, their mascot. I thought, “Why not?” and sent in an application. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d get it, but a few weeks later, I got a call saying I was in. I was through the roof!
First thing, they had me come in for a fitting. That costume, man, it’s no joke. It’s this giant red bird thing, and it’s pretty heavy and hot. But you know what? The moment I put it on, I felt like I was part of the team. It was surreal.
Then came the training. You wouldn’t think there’s much to being a mascot, right? Wrong. There’s a whole routine you gotta learn. How to interact with the fans, the kids, how to get the crowd going, and most importantly, how to stay in character. Plus, you gotta be in pretty good shape to run around in that suit for hours, especially when it’s in hot weather.
- Warm-up: Started with some stretches. Gotta be flexible in that suit!
- Run-through: Practiced running onto the field, waving to the fans.
- Interaction: Learned how to high-five kids, pose for photos, and generally be a lovable bird.
- Goal Keeping: The best part, practicing saves in the goal!
The big day finally arrived. I was nervous as hell. I suited up, and the moment I stepped onto the field, the roar of the crowd hit me. It was incredible. I ran around, high-fiving fans, dancing, and just soaking it all in. The energy was electric.

And you know what’s even crazier? I got to practice some goalkeeping with Ben Foster! Yeah, that Ben Foster, with his 390 Premier League appearances. It was insane! He gave me some tips, and we had a bit of a kickabout. I even managed to save a few of his shots. Okay, maybe he was going easy on me, but still, it was a dream come true.
Then I got to do this thing where I stood in the goal, and kids from the crowd got to take penalty shots at me. It was a blast. Some of those kids have a serious kick! I let a few in, of course, gotta make them feel good, but I also made some pretty epic saves, if I do say so myself.
At one point during the match, I remember looking up at the stands and seeing thousands of fans, all in red, all cheering. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I felt like I was part of something bigger, you know? Part of this incredible community of fans, all united by their love for Liverpool. I also hope we can reach our big targets!
Mighty Red
Being Mighty Red was an experience I’ll never forget. It was hard work, sure, but it was also the most fun I’ve ever had. I got to live out a childhood dream, meet some incredible people, and really connect with the fans. If you ever get the chance to do something like this, go for it. You won’t regret it.
And hey, if you see Mighty Red at Anfield, give him a wave. It might just be me under that suit!
