My Process Finding the Standings
Okay, so today I wanted to check out where Motherwell FC are sitting in the league. Just something I decided to look up, you know, keep myself updated.

First thing I did was grab my laptop. It was right here on the desk. Flipped it open and waited for it to wake up properly.
Next, I fired up my web browser. The usual one I use every day. Nothing special.
Went straight to my favorite search engine. In the search box, I typed in something like “motherwell fc standings”. Pretty straightforward. Sometimes I’ll search for the league name too, like “scottish premiership table”, but I started with the team name this time.
The search results page came up pretty quick. Saw a load of links, mostly sports news sites and stuff like that. You know how it is. Had to quickly scan past the top ads.
I looked for a result that seemed like it would have the actual league table. Usually, the official league site or a big sports network is a safe bet. I clicked on one that looked reliable enough.
The page loaded. Sometimes these sites have videos that auto-play, bit annoying, but this one was okay. I scrolled down the page a bit, looking for the actual table data.
And there it was. The full league standings.
- Team names listed down the side.
- Columns for games played, wins, draws, losses.
- Goal difference was there too.
- And the all-important points column.
So, I ran my eyes down the list until I spotted Motherwell FC. Found them. Checked their position, saw how many points they had racked up. Noted the number of games played as well, gives you context.
I spent another minute just looking at the teams immediately above and below them in the table. Gives you a better picture of their current situation, if they’re close to climbing higher or in danger of dropping.
That was basically it. Found what I was looking for. Closed the browser tab. Felt good to know where they stand right now. Simple task, but one I wanted to get done. Just part of following the team, I guess.
