Mets Bark in the Park 2024: Rules and Regulations, Make Sure You and Your Pup Have a Great Time.

Okay, so, yesterday I took my dog to the Mets’ “Bark in the Park” at Citi Field, and let me tell you, it was a blast! I’d seen some buzz about it online – something about the Mets teaming up with the North Shore Animal League America. Sounded fun, so I jumped at the chance.

First, I made sure to get there early. I read somewhere online that late arrivals wouldn’t be allowed on the field, and I definitely didn’t want to miss that. I made sure to find the entrance, which I knew would be the Bullpen Gate because I remember seeing a post somewhere online mention that. I got the tickets, and boom, we were in!

Getting In

They had us all corralled in the Coca-Cola seating area, sections 301-305 to be exact. It was cool because it meant all the dogs and their humans were together, creating this awesome, buzzing atmosphere. Felt like one big, happy dog-loving family, you know?

Oh, and here’s a tip: when you get in, you have to sign a waiver. It’s all standard stuff, just making sure everyone’s on the same page about being responsible for their pups. I signed it.

I also saw online that the first 300 dogs would get a free blanket. Sadly, my pup wasn’t among the lucky 300, but that’s okay – we were there for the experience!

The Experience

Once we settled into our seats, it was just a whole lot of fun. Dogs everywhere, all shapes and sizes, sniffing each other and wagging their tails. My dog was in heaven, making new friends left and right. And the humans? We were all chatting, sharing stories about our furry companions, and just generally having a great time.

The highlight, of course, was being able to go down onto the field. It’s not every day you get to stand on the same ground as your favorite baseball players, let alone with your dog by your side!

We took some photos, let the dogs run around a bit, and just soaked it all in. It was a truly memorable experience, and I’m so glad we went. If you’re a Mets fan and a dog lover, this is definitely an event you don’t want to miss. I know I’ll be back next year, for sure!

  • Get there early to go on the field.
  • Go in through the Bullpen gate entrance.
  • All dogs and humans will be in sections 301-305.
  • Sign a waiver once you get in.

We totally enjoyed our time. I’ll definitely be doing this again!
