Alright so last Tuesday I wanted to dive into this Miss All Sunday thing. Kept seeing the name pop up in some One Piece fan groups I’m in, but honestly? I had zero clue who she really was, just knew she was connected to Crocodile somehow. Figured I should actually look it up myself instead of guessing.

Started easy. Hopped onto my usual anime forums and typed “Miss All Sunday identity” straight into the search bar. Tons of threads popped up, mostly just debating her powers or how sketchy she seemed with Crocodile. Frustrating! Lots of people talking around her, but nobody clearly stating who she actually is or how she got there. Like, come on!
I knew she was part of Baroque Works, obviously. So I dug around more specifically this time. Searched stuff like “Baroque Works backstory” and “Mr. 0 partner history”. Still vague. Kept finding stuff saying she was “mysterious” or “dark past” but no hard facts. My head was getting a little dizzy clicking through forum pages.
Got kinda desperate, switched tactics. I thought maybe I missed something in the actual story? Grabbed my tablet, fired up the streaming app, and went back to the Alabasta arc. Started jumping through episodes where she was around—especially that scene where she first meets the Straw Hats on the ship. Kept rewinding, listening to every word she said, any tiny hint. She talked kinda poetic, like she knew way more than she let on… but nothing gave away her real name or why she was with Crocodile.
By now I was annoyed. Headed over to a legit anime wiki site I trust. Searched her Baroque Works codename: “Miss All Sunday”. BAM. The page loaded, and right at the top, big reveal: Nico Robin. Wait, WHAT? That Nico Robin? Like, the archaeologist? That blew my mind! All this time, this mysterious Baroque Works officer was actually an Ohara survivor? My jaw literally dropped. I remember the Ohara flashback being absolutely brutal.
Once I had her real name, everything clicked into place so fast. Went back to that wiki page and devoured it:

- Survived Ohara as a kid because Saul saved her? Heart-wrenching.
- Been running solo since she was eight years old, hunted by the World Government? That’s insane pressure.
- Joined Crocodile basically cause she had nowhere else to go and needed protection? Totally made sense looking back.
HUGE spoiler warning if you haven’t seen the Water 7/Enies Lobby stuff—stop reading NOW if you care—but discovering her trying to sacrifice herself to save the Straw Hats at Enies Lobby… after learning her backstory? Hit like a truck. Knowing why she thought she was “demonic” and carried so much guilt? I needed a minute after that.
Looking back, it’s cool how Oda hid her identity like that right in front of everyone. Just thinking about how she went from a hunted kid, to Baroque Works’ spymaster, all the way to becoming a Straw Hat? Complete game-changer. Now her quiet smiles and cryptic words hit totally different when I rewatch Alabasta. Feels like I finally solved a major puzzle!
