Okay, so today I decided to mess around with something totally random – M&M’s and NASCAR. I’ve always loved those colorful cars, and of course, who doesn’t love M&M’s? I figured, why not combine the two?

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a bunch of different colored M&M’s. I mean, a lot of M&M’s. My kitchen table looked like a rainbow exploded. I also printed out some pictures of the M&M’s NASCAR car – you know, the one Kyle Busch drives. I needed a reference, right?
The Sticky Situation
I started experimenting by simply placing the m&ms on to a toy nascar. I tried a few of the example images as my guide, but that turned out to be too simplistic.
Next, I wanted to see if i could improve the overall look and feel, so i decided to use some glue to stick the M&M’s onto the car and that got messy, real quick. Glue everywhere. M&M’s sticking to my fingers. It was a disaster!
But I kept going. I mean, I’d already committed, right? I carefully placed each M&M, trying to match the colors and patterns of the real car. It was slow, tedious work. My back started to hurt, and I’m pretty sure I ate more M&M’s than I actually used.

The (Kinda) Finished Product
After what felt like forever, I finally finished! It wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot. Some of the M&M’s were crooked, and there were definitely some gaps. But, you know what? It kinda, sorta looked like the M&M’s NASCAR car. It was definitely recognizable!
Lessons Learned
- Don’t underestimate the amount of M&M’s you’ll need. Seriously, buy extra.
- Glue is messy. Maybe try double-sided tape next time?
- Patience is key. This is not a quick project.
- Snacking is inevitable. Enjoy the M&Ms while you can
Overall, it was a fun, silly little project. Would I do it again? Maybe. If I do, I’m definitely getting a bigger toy car and a lot more M&M’s and trying a different method to stick them together. But for now, I’m pretty happy with my slightly wonky, sugary sweet NASCAR creation.
