Okay, so I’ve been messing around with racing sims lately, and I got into this whole debate with myself: Monza or Imola? Which track is better? I couldn’t decide, so I figured, why not just race them both a bunch and see what happens?
First, I jumped into Monza. Man, that track is fast! I spent a good hour just trying to nail those long straights without flying off into the gravel. I started with, I don’t know, maybe ten laps? Just trying to get a feel for the speed, braking points, all that stuff.
- First few laps? Disaster. Total disaster.
- Then I started to get the hang of it. Finding the right line through the chicanes, figuring out where I could really push it.
- By lap ten, my times are better for sure.
Then, I switched over to Imola. This track is completely different. It’s all tight corners and elevation changes. Way more technical.
My first run at Imola? Let’s just say I spent a lot of time in the grass.
It’s like, you think you’re going the right speed, and then BAM! You’re off.
I did another ten laps here, really focusing on being smooth with the steering and throttle.
My Very Rough Conclusion
Honestly? After all that, it’s so much fun, it is really hard to choose best one between Monza and Imola! Monza is all about pure speed and adrenaline. Imola is more about precision and control. I guess it just depends on what kind of mood you’re in, you know?
I think I need to do, like, a hundred more laps on each before I can really make up my mind. For now, I’m just having a blast switching between the two.
