So today I want to talk about whether this Motus Bike everybody’s hyping is actually worth your cash. I pulled the trigger last month after seeing Instagram ads nonstop, and holy crap was that a ride.

The Damn Purchase Process
First off, their website looks slick but navigating it feels like walking through mud. Took me 30 minutes just to find the checkout button. Ended up getting the Pro model because it promised “unbeatable smooth pedaling” – whatever that means.
Shipping Nightmares
Paid extra for 2-day delivery but guess what showed up after 11 days? Some beat-up cardboard box held together by duct tape. Parts were rattling inside like maracas. Pretty sure UPS played soccer with it.
Assembly Fun
The manual might as well have been hieroglyphics. Took me two evenings with:
- A missing bolt (had to steal one from my Ikea nightstand)
- Weird creaking sound from the flywheel
- Dashboard that wouldn’t light up until I smacked it
The Actual Cost Breakdown
Here’s where it gets wild. Base price says $899 but real damage was:
- $899 for the bike
- $89 for “premium” mat
- $49 shipping
- $150 for the mandatory extended warranty (scare tactics much?)
- $22 “handling fee”
That’s $1,209 total before tax! Basically paid Chevy money for a scooter.

Using This Thing Daily
Rode it religiously for 3 weeks. Pros first:
Good stuff: Quiet when it finally worked, the cycling classes were decent, and my butt didn’t go numb.
Bad crap: Software freezes mid-ride, resistance jumps randomly, customer service takes 3 days to reply with generic copy-paste answers.
Final Verdict?
Worth the money? Hell no. Feels like paying for premium steak but getting microwave dinner. Save your cash and buy dumbbells – at least those don’t require software updates. My Motus now collects laundry. Total disappointment.
