my f explained (Easy ways to know what people are talking about)

So, today I’m gonna talk about my f. It sounds weird, but yeah, that’s what happened. First, I gotta clarify, this f isn’t about those f words or whatever. It’s about something personal, some feelings and a bit of a mess I went through.

my f explained (Easy ways to know what people are talking about)

It all started when I began noticing people around me were not being exactly straightforward. Like, I asked a buddy about what he posted online, and he was like, “What post?” I mean, come on, it was right there on his profile! That was the moment I realized, I gotta dig deeper into what’s actually going on behind all these words and posts.

Then I started observing. I mean, really paying attention to how people interact, both online and offline. I asked questions, open-ended ones, not the kind that you can answer with a simple yes or no. I wanted to know what makes people tick, what their real stories are. I asked them, “What do you think about this?” and “How did you come to that conclusion?” Not in an aggressive way, you know, just curious.

One time, I was talking to a colleague about work. He was hinting at something but not saying it outright. So I asked him directly, “What’s really on your mind?” It turned out he had some great ideas but was hesitant to share them. We had a good talk, and it really cleared the air.

I also started experimenting with how I communicate. Like, instead of just saying what I think, I tried to be more mindful of how I say it. I practiced starting conversations with phrases like, “I’m curious about your perspective on this,” or “Help me understand where you’re coming from.”

  • I asked open-ended questions to get a deeper understanding of people’s perspectives.
  • I observed how people interact and noted the difference between what they say and what they mean.
  • I practiced being direct and clear in my communication, especially in sensitive situations.
  • I experimented with different ways of starting conversations to be more approachable and understanding.

It wasn’t easy, and I messed up a few times. There were moments when I felt like I was prying too much, or when people got defensive. But slowly, I started noticing a change. People seemed more willing to open up, to share their real thoughts and feelings. It’s like they appreciated someone actually listening and trying to understand them.

So, this whole f thing? It’s about figuring out what’s really going on with people, beyond the surface level. It’s about understanding that what people say is not always what they mean, and that’s okay. It’s about learning to communicate better, to listen more, and to ask the right questions. It’s a journey, and I’m still on it. But I can tell you, it’s made a difference in how I connect with people, both at work and in my personal life.
