Okay, so, picture this: I’m all hyped up for the Nats game, right? Got my jersey on, snacks ready, the whole nine yards. Then, boom – rain delay. Seriously? I was so bummed, but I figured, hey, might as well make the most of it.

The Waiting Game Begins
First thing I did? Checked the weather radar. Like, obsessively. I had multiple weather apps open on my phone, constantly refreshing. It was looking pretty grim, honestly. Big, ugly blobs of green and yellow all over the map. Not good.
Finding Entertainment
Next, I needed to find something to do. Started scrolling through social media, obviously. Everyone else at the game was posting updates, pictures of the tarp on the field, and sharing their misery. Misery loves company, I guess.
Then I thought, “You know what? I’m gonna get productive.” Yeah, right. That lasted about five minutes. Ended up just playing some stupid game on my phone. It was one of those match-three things. Super addictive, though.
Snack Time (Again)
Of course, all this waiting made me hungry. Again. So, I raided the fridge. Found some leftover pizza. Cold pizza is the best, don’t even try to argue with me on that.
Back to the Radar
After the pizza, I was back to checking the weather. Still raining. Still ugly blobs on the map. At this point, I was starting to lose hope. Started thinking about what else I could watch on TV. Maybe a movie? Or maybe just take a nap?

The Good News (Finally!)
Then, out of nowhere, I saw a tweet from the Nats! “Play ball!” They were gonna start the game! I almost jumped out of my chair. It was like a miracle. Grabbed my stuff, bolted out the door.
The game was awesome. The energy in the stadium was great. And I am so happy, the rain delay was totally worth it in the end. Even though I didn’t reach the staduim to watch it live at that time.
