Okay, guys, I have been working on a logo for this new project, Rookies, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I really wanted to share the whole process with you, from the very beginning to the final result.

At first, I brainstormed a bunch of ideas. I mean, I scribbled down everything that came to mind, no matter how crazy it seemed. I filled pages of my notebook with sketches, words, and concepts. It was a mess, but a good kind of mess, you know?
The Initial Sketches
Then, I started to narrow things down. I picked a few ideas that I thought had potential and started to refine them. This is where I spent hours and hours, just tweaking lines, trying out different shapes, and really trying to figure out what worked and what didn’t. I must have drawn like a hundred different versions of each concept. I even made a few color palettes to see how it looked in different colors.
Digitalizing the Designs
Once I had a few designs that I was somewhat happy with, I moved on to the computer. I used some design software to recreate my sketches digitally. I played around with different fonts and colors. This part was tricky, too, because sometimes what looks good on paper doesn’t translate well to the screen. I ended up spending several more days just adjusting and redoing things until it started to look right.
Getting Feedback
After I had a few digital versions, I showed them to some friends and colleagues. I asked for their honest feedback. Getting fresh eyes on the designs was super helpful. They pointed out things that I hadn’t noticed and gave me some new ideas to consider. I took their feedback and went back to the drawing board. I incorporated some of their suggestions and discarded others.
Final Touches
Finally, after weeks of work, I landed on a design that I felt really captured the essence of Rookies. I added the finishing touches, made sure everything was aligned perfectly, and finalized the colors. It was a long process, but seeing the finished logo made it all worth it. I felt a real sense of accomplishment, you know? I’m really proud of how it turned out.

Here’s a breakdown of the steps I took:
- Brainstorming and initial sketches.
- Refining the best ideas.
- Digitalizing the designs.
- Gathering feedback.
- Making revisions based on feedback.
- Adding final touches and finalizing the design.
So, that’s the story of how I created the Rookies logo. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely a rewarding experience. I learned a lot along the way, and I hope sharing this process helps some of you in your own creative endeavors.
