Okay, so I needed to park at the Gateway East garage the other day. Let me tell you, figuring out the ticket situation beforehand was a bit of a head-scratcher, so I figured I’d share my experience to save you some trouble.

First, I tried to find some info online. I thought, “Surely, there’s a website or something that explains everything clearly.” No such luck. I found bits and pieces of information, but nothing concrete about how to actually get a ticket.
My Parking Adventure Begins
So, I decided to just wing it. I drove to the garage, fully expecting to see a ticket booth or a machine spitting out tickets. You know, the usual setup.
- I entered the garage.
- I looked around for a ticket machine or booth attendant.
- I saw… nothing. Just some gates and a bunch of cars.
I started to get a little nervous. I didn’t want to get stuck or end up with some crazy fine. I circled around the entrance area a couple of times, feeling like a total doofus.
The “Aha!” Moment
Finally, I noticed a small sign near the entrance gate. It was one of those automated systems. There are some buttons that say “push for assistance”. I pushed it.
After pushing that. I get my ticket.

When I was ready to leave. I drove to exit gate and found the machine. I inserted my ticket to that machine and I paid, that was so easy. I got out that.
It all worked out in the end, but it definitely wasn’t the smoothest process. My advice? Don’t expect a traditional ticket booth. Just look the signs at the entrance, you’ll be fine. The most important thing is that don’t lose your ticket.
