Okay, so I’ve been trying to get into this “Call of the Dream” quest thing in that game, you know the one. I kept seeing people talk about it online, and I was like, “What the heck, I wanna try that too!” But for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out how to start it. I mean, I’m not a total noob, I’ve been playing for a while, but this one had me stumped.
First, I went to Valdrakken City. That’s where I thought it was supposed to start. I saw a character there, Shandris, she’s kind of a big deal, and I figured she was the one to talk to. But nope, nothing. She just stood there, looking all important and not giving me any quests. It was super frustrating!
Then I spent, like, an hour running around Ohn’ahran Plains, because I read somewhere that she might be there for some “Fire Season” thing. I did the whole questline there, thinking that would unlock something. It was a long shot, but I was getting desperate. Still, no “Call of the Dream.”
After that, I did what any sane person would do – I hit the forums. I searched through tons of posts, and a lot of people were having the same issue. Some folks were saying there’s a script you can run, something you copy and paste into the game chat. So I tried that, followed the instructions, and… it came back “false.” Great, just great.
I was about to give up, honestly. But then, I remembered something about the Emerald Dream. There’s a portal there, right? And I hadn’t really messed around with that stuff yet. So I thought, “What the heck, let’s try that.” I started the Emerald Dream quest chain, and you won’t believe it.
- Went to the Emerald Dream portal.
- Started the Emerald Dream questline.
- Bam! The exclamation mark for “Call of the Dream” finally popped up on the map!
Turns out, you don’t even need to find a specific person to give you the quest. It just appears automatically when you log in after the Emerald Dream area is released. Who knew?
So yeah, that’s my saga of trying to start “Call of the Dream.” It was a mess, but I finally figured it out. Hopefully, this will save someone else the headache I went through. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a dream to answer!
