Alright, so another day, another Wordle. I sat down this morning, coffee in hand, ready to tackle the puzzle. You know the drill, try to get it in as few guesses as possible. That’s always the goal, right?
I started with my usual go-to word, something with a good mix of vowels and common consonants. Let’s just say it gave me a little something, a yellow here, maybe a green there. But it wasn’t enough to make things obvious. My second guess, still fishing. Got a bit more information, but the word just wasn’t jumping out at me. I was staring at the screen, trying different combinations in my head.
Hitting a Wall
Then I hit that point. You know, where you’ve used up a few tries and you’re just drawing blanks. I tried a couple more words, moving letters around, hoping for that magic click. Nothing. Just more grey squares, a few yellows in stubborn spots. It was getting frustrating, honestly. I thought I was pretty good at this game, but today was a tough one.
So, I decided, okay, time to look up some hints for today’s Wordle. No shame in it, sometimes you just need a little nudge. I didn’t want the answer straight up, just a clue to get my brain working in the right direction.
The Hint That Cracked It
I found a pretty good hint. It said something like: “Think of Monopoly, Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, etc.”
And just like that, it clicked! Monopoly, Ludo… what do all those games have in common? They’re played on a… BOARD! Of course! It seemed so obvious once I got the hint. All those games use a game board.

- Ludo – yep, a board there too.
- Snakes and Ladders – classic board game.
I quickly typed in B-O-A-R-D. And bam! All green letters. Got it! Such a relief, you know? It’s funny how a simple word can be so tricky sometimes.
When you think about it, “BOARD” is a pretty versatile word. It can mean that flat piece of wood or material, like the game board itself. But it also means, like, getting on a ship or a plane – you board the vessel. It’s interesting how one word can have a few different angles. Anyway, that was my Wordle adventure for today. The hint about the games was definitely the key. Glad I found it!
