Okay, so the other day, I decided to finally get serious about sorting out my golf balls. You know, the ones scattered in the garage, the trunk of my car, and probably a few lost souls in the backyard. I’m talking about “eagle golf balls” specifically, which is just a fancy way of saying I had a whole bunch of different brands and types.

Getting Started
First, I gathered all the golf balls I could find. This was a mission in itself! I dug through old golf bags, checked under shelves, and even braved the spider-infested corners of the garage. It was like an Easter egg hunt, except instead of chocolate, I was finding Titleists and Callaways.
The Sorting Process
Next, I dumped all the balls onto a big tarp in the driveway. It was a glorious, slightly embarrassing, mountain of white dimples. Then came the fun part – sorting!
- I separated them by brand first. Titleist, Callaway, Nike, you name it, they each got their own pile.
- Then, I checked for condition. Any balls that looked like they’d been through a warzone (scuffed, cracked, or otherwise mangled) went into a separate “practice” pile.
- The good ones, the ones that still looked pretty fresh, I sorted by type. You know, distance balls, soft feel balls, the whole shebang. I’m not a pro, so I didn’t get too technical with this.
The Final Result
Finally, I organized the “good” balls into different containers. I used some old plastic bins I had lying around. One for each brand, roughly. The “practice” balls went into a separate bucket, ready for those days when I’m feeling brave (or reckless) on the driving range.
It took a good chunk of the afternoon, but honestly, it was worth it. Now I know exactly what I have, and I can actually find the right ball when I need it. No more rummaging around in the bottom of my bag like a squirrel looking for nuts. Plus, I felt a weird sense of accomplishment – like I’d finally conquered the chaos of my golfing gear. Maybe I’ll even play better now… or maybe not, but at least I’ll look organized while I’m slicing it into the woods!
