New Hampshire Nascar: Get Your Lobster Victory Feast Here!

Okay, so this weekend I decided to do something totally different. I’ve always been a bit of a NASCAR fan, and I’ve heard about the New Hampshire race, especially the whole lobster thing. The winner gets a giant lobster! I had to see this for myself, and, even better, try to get my own lobster.

First, I packed my bags. I’m not talking about a fancy trip here. Just some jeans, t-shirts, a good pair of walking shoes, and my trusty old cooler. This was about experiencing the real deal, not some glitzy vacation.

Next, I hit the road. It was a bit of a drive, but I love a good road trip. Cranked up the tunes, grabbed some snacks at a gas station – you know, the usual.

Getting There and Getting Ready

When I arrived, I could feel the energy. Tons of people, RVs everywhere, the smell of barbecue in the air… it was awesome! I found a decent spot to park, threw on my favorite racing t-shirt, and headed towards the track.

Before the race, I wandered around. I checked out the souvenir stands (way too expensive, by the way), watched some of the pre-race festivities, and just generally soaked up the atmosphere. It was a total party!

The Lobster Hunt

Now, for the main event – besides the race, of course. I wanted that lobster! I’d heard there were seafood places near the track, so I started asking around. Some guy in a Dale Earnhardt Jr. hat pointed me towards a little shack down the road.

I walked over, and there it was – a small, unassuming place with a big sign that said “Fresh Lobster!” I went inside, and the smell of the sea just hit me. It was amazing.

  • I ordered a lobster – not a giant one like the racers get, but a good-sized one for myself.
  • They steamed it right there, and I grabbed some butter and a bib.
  • Let me tell you, that was the best lobster I’ve ever had!
  • I cracked open the lobster.

Sitting there, eating my lobster, with the roar of the engines in the background… it was perfect. It wasn’t fancy, but it was real, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

After that, I watched the race, cheered on my favorite driver, and just enjoyed the whole experience. It was a weekend I won’t forget – a little bit of racing, a lot of fun, and one very delicious lobster.
