Okay, so I’ve been hooked on Monopoly Go lately, mostly because of the events. I wanted to share how I’ve been tackling them, and what seems to work best for me.
First, I always check the events tab when I log in. I mean, it’s right there, blinking at you. It’s dumb not to. I look at what the current event is, what the rewards are, and most importantly, how long it’s running for.
Figuring out the Goal
Next, I try to figure out what I actually need to do. Sometimes it’s landing on certain tiles, other times it’s collecting a specific item. I spend a few minutes just playing normally, trying to get a feel for the event’s requirements. No point rushing in blind, right?
My Strategy (and it’s not Rocket Science)
- Save up those dice rolls: I don’t just blow through all my dice at once. If I know a good event is coming up, I’ll try to hoard a few rolls. It’s like saving up for a shopping spree, but with dice.
- Focus on the event tasks: Obvious, I know, but it’s easy to get distracted by other things in the game. I try to stick to whatever the event is asking for. If it’s landing on railroads, then I’m aiming for railroads, even if it means skipping other potentially good spots.
- Don’t be afraid to use boosts: If I’m close to a reward and I’m running out of time or dice, I might use a boost. Especially those high roller ones, they can be super helpful if you time it right. But, careful, it is easy to waste them.
- Check in regularly: These events don’t last forever. I make sure to check in a few times a day, even if it’s just for a few minutes, to make sure I’m not missing out on anything.
Take the game easy
That’s pretty much it! I try not to stress too much about it. It’s a game, after all. But, these events, in my test, can be a great way to get extra dice, cash, and those sweet, sweet sticker packs, so it’s worth putting in a little effort. Play more and be smart!
