Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Palworld lately, and one thing that kept bugging me was finding those Wandering Merchants. They’ve got some pretty sweet stuff, and I wanted to figure out the best way to track them down. So, here’s what I did and what I learned.

First, I started just exploring like crazy. I figured, “Hey, they’re wandering merchants, so I just gotta wander around, right?” Well, that kinda worked, but it was super inefficient. I’d bump into one occasionally, but it was mostly luck.
Then, I started thinking a bit more strategically. I noticed that these guys tend to pop up more often near settlements. Makes sense, right? They want customers. So I started focusing my search around those areas. I fast-traveled between settlements a bunch of times.
Focusing My Search
- Small Settlement: This became my go-to starting point. It’s easy to navigate, and there’s a fast-travel point right there.
- Other Villages and Landmarks:I made a route hitting other key spots I knew.
When I arrived, I didn’t just stand there. I’d actively look around. I’d run a circuit around the settlement, checking all the usual spots where people (and Pals) hang out. Sometimes, I found the merchant right away. Other times, I had to circle a few times.
One thing I noticed is that they seem to have a few favorite spots in each area. They’re not always in the exact same spot, but they’re usually in the same general vicinity. I kind of got a feel for where they liked to hang out.
And I kept track of the time. I got so frustrated. Sometimes he appeared, sometimes he’s not.

Eventually, after a lot of trial and error. I was finally found him! So excited!
So, that’s my Wandering Merchant hunting story. It’s not a perfect science, but this method is way better than just aimlessly wandering. Hope this helps you guys find those elusive merchants!
