So last night I decided to dive into the new patch notes finally. Booted up my computer around 8 PM with cold pizza sitting next to the keyboard. First thing I did was open that huge wall of text – man, scrolling felt like reading War and Peace.

Where I started
Clicked CTRL+F immediately searching for my main champion Vel’Koz. Scrolled past forty buffs/nerfs before finding his section. Squinted at the screen real hard – “base armor increased by 2”?? That’s it? Felt like getting socks for Christmas. Typed “LOL” in Discord to my squad before moving on.
The actual testing part
Hopped into practice tool just to smack some dummies. Needed to check:
- If those new Lethal Tempo changes made my ADC’s auto attacks feel less like wet noodles
- Whether tank items actually got gutted like everyone’s crying about
- That weird Stormsurge adjustment they kept flip-flopping on
Spent 20 minutes trying to recreate that Sivir interaction everyone’s memeing about. Failed spectacularly – guess I can’t read tooltips properly after two energy drinks. Noticed the TP cooldown reduction actually felt kinda nice when I botched a gank though.
Biggest surprise
Thought Voidgrubs were gonna be useless. Wrong! Did scuttlecrab-style pacing between lanes at 5 minutes. Got first grub kill and saw that hunger bar thing pop up. Tower melted faster than expected during later push. Need to test if stacking grub buffs makes split-pushing broken now.
The “oh crap” moment
Tried new support item while watching Netflix. Forgot to ward river because got distracted by true crime documentary. Got ganked hard while investigator revealed the killer. Lesson: new patch needs full attention. RIP my LP.

Final verdict after 3 hours? Feels like they’re duct-taping balance issues again. Gonna need at least three more rage-quit games before forming real opinions. Back to ranked I go…
