PXG Black Ops Driver Reviews: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – Unbiased Look!

Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with different drivers lately, trying to find that magic stick that’ll add some serious yards to my game. And let me tell you, the PXG Black Ops driver, it’s been a real eye-opener. I heard some buzz about it, saw some things online saying it’s one of the best drivers for distance and more forgiving and stuff, so I thought, why not give it a shot?

First off, I went to their fitting event to get it dialed in. The fitter looked at the loft numbers and I found the 9-degree head was the winner for me. It’s gonna be available in 8,9 degrees and more, by the way. According to my memory, I think it’s a little bit longer than the old 0311 GEN6. I mean, I was consistently hitting it further than my old one. And the best part? Even when I didn’t exactly catch it dead center, the ball still went pretty darn far. It’s like, this driver has your back, you know? Forgiving, like, across the whole face or something.

    What I really noticed:

  • Distance: Yeah, it’s longer. No doubt about it. I’m not saying I suddenly turned into a pro, but I definitely saw a boost in my driving distance.
  • Feel: Hitting this thing just feels good. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like, solid, powerful, but also smooth. And the sound? Music to my ears. Way better than that GEN6 thing.
  • Forgiveness: Like I said, you don’t have to be perfect with this driver. It’s forgiving, which is a godsend for someone like me who’s, let’s be honest, not always consistent.

So, after spending some quality time with the PXG Black Ops driver, I’m pretty sold. It’s got the distance, the feel, and the forgiveness that I’ve been looking for. I’m gonna keep using it and see how it goes, but so far, so good. If you’re in the market for a new driver, I’d say it’s definitely worth checking out. It’s matured, you know? It may be a little pricey, but hey, sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right?

Anyway, that’s my two cents on the PXG Black Ops driver. I’ll probably do an update later after I’ve played a few more rounds with it. But for now, I’m feeling pretty good about this one.
