Okay, so today I messed around with getting the “justin wilson driver” set up. It wasn’t super clear online exactly which driver this was, so I started by just poking around.

First, I tried to figure out what hardware I even needed a driver for. Was it a graphics card? A weird controller? I’m not Justin Wilson, so I don’t have his exact setup. My best guess, based on some forum posts, was that it probably related to some kind of racing wheel or pedal setup, since he was an IndyCar driver.
I’ve got a basic Logitech wheel, so I started there. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, hoping Windows would magically figure it out. No dice. It worked, but not in any special “Justin Wilson” way.
Digging Deeper
Next, I went to the Logitech website. They have a bunch of different software options, and it’s kind of confusing. I downloaded the Logitech Gaming Software, thinking that was the most likely candidate.
- Installed it. Took a few minutes, nothing crazy.
- Rebooted, just in case. You know how it is.
- Fired up a racing game (I used Assetto Corsa, because it’s pretty realistic).
Still nothing obviously “Justin Wilson” specific. The wheel worked fine, force feedback was there, but I wasn’t suddenly driving like an IndyCar pro.
Maybe It’s Not Software?
At this point, I was starting to think maybe this “driver” wasn’t a software driver at all. Maybe it was some kind of custom hardware configuration, or a specific setting within the Logitech software. I spent a good hour tweaking force feedback settings, trying to find something that felt “special.”

I messed with the overall strength, the centering spring, the damper settings… I even looked for custom profiles online that someone might have made and called the “Justin Wilson” profile, but no luck. It still felt, well, like my racing wheel.
The Conclusion (For Now)
Honestly, I didn’t find a definitive “Justin Wilson driver.” My guess is either:
- It refers the basic, standard racing wheel driver for compatible racing wheels.
- It’s a very specific, maybe even custom, set of force feedback settings that I couldn’t replicate.
- It’s something completely different that I’m totally missing!
If anyone out there actually knows what this “justin wilson driver” is, please, enlighten me! I’m genuinely curious. For now, I’m just going to go back to racing with my regular old settings. I’m fast, but I’m no Justin Wilson, driver or no driver.
