Okay, so, like everyone else, I’ve been thinking a lot about the 2026 World Cup. And, of course, the big question on my mind is: Will Cristiano Ronaldo play?
I started digging around, just to see what the internet was saying. I found this one article from May 13th that mentioned retirement, and I was like, “No way, he can’t retire yet!” He’s still got it, you know?
- First thing I did was just type in “Ronaldo 2026 World Cup” into Google. Simple enough, right? Tons of stuff came up, of course.
- Then I started clicking through some articles. Some were saying he might retire, others were saying he might still play. It was all pretty vague, really.
- I found this article that talked about the Club World Cup 2025 and how Ronaldo might still be able to play because of some new FIFA rules. That got me thinking, maybe he’ll stick around for the World Cup after all?
Then I saw something about him maybe leaving Al-Nassr in 2025 because his contract is ending. So, he might be looking for a “new project.”
Then, there’s another article mentioning Messi, Mac Allister said that Messi would also join in the 2026 World Cup. I think there will be a high possibility that we could see Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2026 World Cup as well!
My Conclusion
Honestly, after all this “research,” I’m still not sure if he’ll play or not. But I really, really hope he does. It wouldn’t be the same without him. But, yeah, I’m just a fan like everyone else, so who knows what’s really going on in his head? We’ll just have to wait and see.
