Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to document this for a while now, and I finally got around to it. It’s about that baseball game, the one between the San Francisco Giants and the Atlanta Braves.

First off, I had to figure out when the heck this game was even happening. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought. I mean, there are tons of games every season, right? Turned out it was one of those series, where they play multiple games in a row. One was on Saturday, August 26th, 2023. That was a whole year ago. And I found more listings for August 12th and 14th, 2024, which is in the future. That’s pretty cool, and also August 14th. All of them were at 9:45 PM ET, and, of course, all taking place in San Francisco. But I needed that July 4th game. Took some more digging, but I eventually found it.
Then came the whole ordeal of actually watching it. I wanted to stream it live, ’cause who wants to wait for replays, am I right? Turns out, if you’re into the Giants and you want live streams, it’s all about the NBC Sports app. So I went down that rabbit hole. It looked like the NBC Sports Bay Area & CA app was supposed to link to the NBC Sports app to make things easy. Sounded simple enough.
Here’s what I did:
- Downloaded the NBC Sports app: This was the easy part. Found it on the app store, downloaded it, no problem.
- Checked the NBC Sports Bay Area & CA app: This was more for news, highlights, and all that jazz. I figured I’d keep it on my phone just in case.
- Looked up the game schedule: I scrolled through the schedule in the NBC Sports app. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest, but eventually, I found the Braves vs. Giants game listed for July 4th.
- Streamed the game: Finally, when the time came, I just opened the NBC Sports app, found the game, and started watching. The stream was pretty good, no major hiccups.
The Result
It was a pretty intense game! Those two teams are serious. The Giants, you know, they’re like, one of the oldest and most successful teams in baseball. So, the game itself? Worth the hassle, for sure. It went back and forth. Honestly, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And let me tell you, figuring out how to actually watch the game was almost as much of an adventure as the game itself!
