Alright folks, gather ’round! Today I’m spilling the beans on how I finally snagged that elusive Mermaid’s Pendant in Stardew Valley. It was a journey, let me tell ya, but totally worth it for that sweet, sweet marriage!

So, first things first, you gotta get the bridge repaired at the beach. Remember that pile of driftwood blocking the way? Yeah, you need 300 wood to fix it up. Chop down some trees, break down old furniture, whatever you gotta do! Once that’s done, you can cross over to the Tide Pools area.
Next up, you absolutely HAVE to upgrade your house at least once. Seriously, don’t even think about the pendant until you’ve got that first upgrade with the kitchen. Pam needs a place to crash, and so will your spouse eventually!
Okay, here’s where it gets interesting. You need to earn 300 hearts with at least five villagers. I’m talking solid friendships here, people. Give gifts they love (check the wiki, it’s your best friend!), chat with them every day, and complete those pesky quests they give you. It’s a grind, but it pays off. Also, before you get the pendant, make sure you’ve given your intended spouse a bouquet to trigger the “dating” status.
Now for the big moment! Once you’ve got those friendships and the house upgrade in the bag, head to the Tide Pools on a rainy day. Seriously, it HAS to be raining. You’ll find the Old Mariner chilling on the beach.
Talk to him, and for a cool 5,000g, he’ll sell you the Mermaid’s Pendant! It looks like a seashell on a necklace. Don’t worry about the cost, you should have a decent stack of gold by now from selling all those crops and minerals.

Finally, the moment of truth. Equip that Mermaid’s Pendant, find your chosen sweetheart, and give it to them! They’ll accept (hopefully!), and you’ll get a message saying the wedding is in three days.
On the morning of the wedding, just head outside your house. The ceremony will automatically trigger, and BAM! You’re married! Now you’ve got a partner to help you on the farm and give you gifts. Plus, you unlock some extra heart events and can even have kids later on.
So, to recap, here’s the checklist:
- Repair the beach bridge.
- Upgrade your house at least once.
- Reach 300 hearts with at least five villagers.
- Date your intended spouse!
- Go to the Tide Pools on a rainy day.
- Buy the Mermaid’s Pendant from the Old Mariner.
- Give the pendant to your beloved.
- Get hitched!
That’s it! It’s a bit of a process, but totally doable. Just be patient, put in the work, and you’ll be walking down the aisle in no time. Good luck, and happy farming!
