Okay, so, today I wanna talk about something I got into recently – Strath Haven football. It all started when I was flipping through channels and landed on some high school football highlights. I’d never really followed high school sports before, but there was something about the energy of it all that caught my eye.

So I started digging around online, you know, just casually looking up teams and stuff. That’s when I stumbled upon Strath Haven. I saw they had a pretty decent record, and their fans seemed super passionate, which made me interested in their team, so I made a plan to go there and check it out.
The First Game
I decided to go check out one of their games. I grabbed my old, beat-up camera, a notebook, and headed to the stadium. It wasn’t anything fancy, just your typical high school field, but the atmosphere was buzzing.
- Arrived early: Got there about an hour before kickoff to soak it all in.
- Found a spot: Snagged a seat on the bleachers, not too close, not too far.
- Started snapping pics: Just random shots of the crowd, the players warming up, the cheerleaders, you know, the usual game day stuff.
The game itself was a nail-biter! Strath Haven was down by a touchdown with like, two minutes left. I was on the edge of my seat, scribbling notes like a madman, trying to capture every play. They ended up pulling off a last-second win. The crowd went wild! I mean, people were jumping, screaming, hugging strangers – it was awesome!
Following the Season
After that, I was hooked. I started following Strath Haven’s season religiously. I went to as many games as I could, home and away. I learned all the players’ names, their positions, their stories, even their stats. I even bought a Strath Haven Football shirt to show my support.
- Created a spreadsheet: Yeah, I know, a little nerdy, but I made a spreadsheet to track their scores, their opponents, everything.
- Took more pics: I tried to get better shots each game, focusing on the action, the emotions, the details.
- Talked to people: I started chatting with other fans, parents, even some of the coaches after the games. Got some great insights that way.
It became like a ritual for me. Every Friday night, it was Strath Haven football. I felt like I was part of something, you know? It wasn’t just about the game anymore. It was about the community, the passion, the shared experience.

The End Result
Strath Haven didn’t win the championship that year, but they had a solid season. And for me, it was a win. I discovered a new passion, made some new friends, and got some pretty decent photos and notes along the way. I felt like I had a deeper understanding of the game, and even more so, the spirit of high school football. I felt a sense of belonging, I felt excited and it felt awesome. More importantly, I had so much fun in the whole process and that made me happy.
So, yeah, that’s my Strath Haven football story. It might not be a big deal to some, but it was a big deal to me. It’s funny how you can stumble upon something totally unexpected and it ends up becoming a part of your life. I will continue to follow their games and record, and also hope to find something new to share with you guys!
