Okay, so let’s talk about the 2024 Super GT, man, what a wild ride that’s been! I’ve been following this series for a while now, and this year’s just been insane.
First off, I started by looking up the schedule. Found out that the final race, the Suzuka GT 300km, was the one to watch. That’s where they’d crown the champions, you know? I made a mental note – gotta catch that one no matter what.
Then I dug into the teams. TGR Team au TOM’S, those guys were on fire! Sho Tsuboi and Kenta Yamashita, what a duo! They were leading the GT500 class, and I figured they were the ones to beat. I also read something about the GT300 class, but honestly, I was more focused on the big boys in GT500.
Next up, I tried to figure out how to actually watch the races. Turns out, * is the place to be. Now, they want you to sign up for a subscription. It’s not free, which kinda sucks, but hey, it’s racing, right? I ended up grabbing a monthly subscription. It is only 6 bucks, not bad.

I learned that GT500 and GT300 are basically different classes of cars, based on horsepower. GT500’s got the beasts, with engines limited by fuel intake, while GT300’s got the slightly tamer ones, limited by air intake.
The season went on, and I followed every race I could. Lots of drama, lots of close calls. These drivers, man, they’re pushing these cars to the limit. And the pit crews, don’t even get me started on how fast they are during those pit stops! I am so amazing by them, very fast!
Finally, the last race at Suzuka. I was glued to the screen. TGR Team au TOM’S, they pulled it off! They won the race and the whole darn championship! Tsuboi and Yamashita, they drove like legends. It was a nail-biter till the end, but they did it. They won drivers’ championship, so exciting!
And guess what? I found out the 2024 awards ceremony, the “SUPER GT HEROES 2024,” I want to be there!
What a Season!
So yeah, that was my experience with the 2024 Super GT. From researching the teams to figuring out how to watch, to actually witnessing that final race, it was a blast. I can’t wait for next season, man! Hope Nissan, Honda and Toyota can bring more surprise to us, they made changes to their driver rosters. I am so excited to see that! These drivers are so good and excellent, I want to be one of them!
