Suzuki GSX 750 R 2004 Review: Still a Great Ride? Check Out This Classic Sportbike!

Got this 2004 Suzuki GSX-R750 a while back. Man, this bike is something else. It’s like the perfect mix of power and handling. You feel me? When I first hopped on, I thought, “Okay, let’s see what this baby can do.”

First off, I took it slow. I mean, this thing’s got some serious kick. The engine, oh boy, it’s a beast. They say it’s got about 147 horsepower at the crank, and around 127 at the rear wheel. I could feel every bit of that power. I started on some back roads, just getting a feel for it. Then I thought to myself, “Alright, let’s push it a little.”

So, I started opening up the throttle a bit more. And let me tell you, this bike, it just goes. It’s like it’s begging you to go faster. I was hitting those corners, leaning in, and it felt so smooth. The torque on this thing is crazy, around 58 ft-lb at 10,750 rpm. You can really feel it when you’re accelerating out of a turn. It’s like, whoosh, and you’re gone.

I remember one time, I was on this long straightaway. I decided, “Let’s see what the top end is like.” I cranked that throttle, and the speed just kept climbing. The redline is at 14,000 rpm, but I didn’t push it that far. Didn’t need to. The rush was insane. My heart was pounding, but it was such a thrill.

But it’s not just about speed. This bike handles like a dream. It’s so responsive. You think about where you want to go, and it just does it. I was weaving through traffic, and it felt so nimble. It’s like the bike is an extension of your body. You feel totally in control, you know?

I’ve ridden a lot of bikes, but this one, it’s special. I don’t just use it every day, It’s got that perfect balance. It’s powerful, but not too crazy. It’s agile, but not twitchy. It’s just right. And yeah, maybe it’s not the newest model out there, but it’s got character. It’s got soul.

If you’re thinking about getting a GSX-R750, especially the 2004 model, I say go for it. But my advice, take your time to get used to it. Start with something smaller if you have to. Ride the shit out of that, then step up. Respect the power, and you’ll have a blast.

  • Engine: Feels like a total powerhouse.
  • Handling: Super smooth, like it’s part of you.
  • Speed: It just goes, man. The rush is unreal.
  • Overall: It’s a dream. Seriously, it’s got that magic touch.

So yeah, that’s my take on the 2004 Suzuki GSX-R750. It’s a ride I’ll never forget. And I’m gonna keep riding it till the wheels fall off, that is no doubt!
