Alright, so last weekend I decided to hit up the Green Mountain golf course. I’d heard some good things, like it’s the top public course in Vermont and stuff, so I was pretty pumped to check it out.

First off, I booked a tee time online. It was super easy, no hassle at all. I just picked a time that worked for me and that was it. Then, I packed up my clubs, made sure I had enough balls (because, you know, I tend to lose a few), and grabbed some snacks. You gotta stay energized, right?
When I got there, I was immediately struck by how beautiful the place was. I mean, it’s carved right out of the Green Mountains, so the views were just insane. It felt like I was playing in some kind of postcard. Plus, it was so peaceful. It really did feel like a “private” golf experience, even though it’s a public course.
I started playing, and man, it was challenging. But in a good way! I’m not the best golfer out there, but I definitely felt like I was improving as I went along. There were some tricky holes, but I managed to not completely embarrass myself. Also, I heard that this course is in the top 100 courses in the country that you can play for under $100. How crazy is that?
Throughout the day, I took a bunch of pictures. I couldn’t help it, the scenery was just too good. I even saw some other folks taking pictures too, so I didn’t feel too awkward about it. Seriously, if you are in Vermont, you gotta check out this place. It is near the Killington Ski Resort, so maybe I will go skiing next time.
- Checked in at the clubhouse – everyone was super friendly.
- Warmed up at the driving range – gotta get that swing right.
- Played 18 holes – some good, some bad, but all fun.
- Enjoyed the views – seriously, they were amazing.
- Finished up and grabbed a drink at the clubhouse – a perfect end to the day.
By the end of the day, I was tired but happy. I’d had a great time, played some decent golf, and enjoyed some incredible views. It was definitely worth the trip. I am not a good golfer, so I searched online and found some courses for beginners, and I think I am going to try those out. Overall, I’d highly recommend Green Mountain to anyone looking for a great golfing experience. It’s definitely a hidden gem.

Overall Experience
I had an amazing time at Green Mountain. It’s a beautiful course that’s challenging but fun. Plus, the price is right. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out!
