Okay so here’s the thing, I was totally stuck at level 9 of Thrill Ball Blast Kick for, like, three days straight. My score just wouldn’t budge past 150k. Frustrating, right? So I went hunting online and came across these five “easy tricks”. Figured I’d try them myself and see if they actually worked. Spoiler alert: some do, some need practice.

The Launch Angle Adjustment Thing
First trick they talked about was changing the angle right before you kick the ball. Seemed easy enough. Tried it, and man, I bombed hard the first ten tries. Always mis-timed it. Kept at it though, flicking my finger a tiny bit upwards just before releasing, aiming for those higher multipliers. Took maybe half an hour of failing before I got the rhythm. Huge difference when it connects! Instead of hitting the first obstacle, the ball sailed over, landed smack on a combo spot.
Timing The Power Meter Bar
Next trick: hitting the green zone on the power meter consistently. Okay, obvious right? But honestly, I was just smashing it full power before. Bad habit. Forced myself to actually watch the meter and stop precisely in the green. Made a point to tap slower. It felt weird initially, like I wasn’t kicking hard enough. But surprise – keeping it in the green meant less wild, uncontrolled bounces and more predictable landings. Way fewer gutter balls. Score crept up steadily just from this.
The “Bounce & Chain” Strategy
This one sounded tricky. The idea was bouncing the ball off walls deliberately to hit multiple targets without landing. Yeah… right. My attempts were messy. The ball would ping off into nowhere. But I got obsessed. Started looking for specific bounce angles near clusters of objects. Practiced on the earlier levels I’d already beaten. Eventually, after countless retries, I nailed a triple bounce chain – boom, boom, boom! Massive score multiplier flashed. Totally worth the grind to learn it.
Saving the Special Orbs
Okay, this tip seemed counter-intuitive. Save the special power-up orbs until the bonus round? I usually grabbed them instantly for the quick points. So I tried holding back. It felt wrong letting them disappear! But during the bonus round, with all those extra points flying around, popping the orb then… holy smokes. The point explosion was nuts. It wasn’t just the orb value; it multiplied everything else happening. Instantly jumped 20k higher.
The Windmill Trap Trick (Risky!)
The last trick involved using the annoying windmill traps to actually bounce the ball onto a bonus platform. Risky? Totally. Half the time, the windmill just ate my ball. But I noticed sometimes if I hit the edge just right, it flung the ball upwards. Took a lot of very intentional aiming and timing to hit that sweet spot. Failed way more than succeeded at first. But when it worked? Ping! Straight onto the high-score platform. Super risky, but the payoff is sick.

So Did It Work?
After practicing all five tricks? Heck yes! I finally smashed past level 9 with a score over 220k. It wasn’t instant magic – it took real practice time. The bounce chains and windmill trick especially needed work. But focusing on angle control and meter timing gave the quickest, most reliable score jumps. Now I gotta grind level 10. Maybe I’ll find some new tricks there!
