You know, a couple of dedicated fan forums, maybe some of those social media accounts that seem to be plugged in, or at least pretend to be.
I’ve learned to take everything with a massive grain of salt. Huge. You see a name pop up, some “insider” claiming a deal is “heating up.” My first thought isn’t excitement anymore, it’s more like, “Okay, who’s this guy? What’s his track record? Is he just throwing stuff at the wall?”

- Then I check if multiple, usually reliable sources are saying similar things. One guy screaming into the void? Probably just noise.
- I also try to see if the rumor even makes sense. Does the team need that player? Can they afford him, prospect-wise or money-wise? Sometimes the rumors are just plain fantasy baseball.
