So my tots live tracker started messing up bad last week. You know how it is when your baby monitor randomly disconnects in the middle of the night? Freaking nightmare scenario. Woke up to that terrifying beep-beep-BEEP error sound at 3AM. Nearly jumped outta my skin thinking something was wrong with the little one.

Figuring Out What Went Wrong
Next morning, I hauled my zombie-self to the laptop determined to fix this garbage. First thing I did was unplug that stupid tracking unit completely. Yanked the power cord like it owed me money. Waited a solid two minutes before plugging back in – felt longer than waiting for microwave popcorn.
Then I noticed the Wi-Fi connection was acting drunk. Router showed full bars but the tracker kept flashing that sad little disconnected icon. So I did the caveman fix: smashed both the reset button on the tracker and the router’s reboot button at the same time. Held ’em down till my thumbs hurt.
The Real Stupid Simple Fix
After all that macho resetting? Still didn’t work! Was about to throw the damn thing out the window when I spotted the real problem:
The app needed updating.
Seriously? All this drama because I forgot to update? Felt like punching myself. Went to the app store, saw that lil’ update button shining like the dang holy grail. Smacked it so hard I almost cracked my screen.

While it was updating, I went nuclear on the settings:
- Deleted the whole tracker profile like bad Tinder match
- Cleared the app cache till it squeaked
- Re-added the tracker from scratch like it was brand new
How It’s Working Now
Been three days straight since I did all this. Rock solid connection even during thunderstorm yesterday. Battery life actually seems better too – used to die by lunchtime now lasts till dinner. Still checking it like crazy though, paranoid after that 3AM scare. But hey, if my half-asleep angry-fixing can make it work, anybody can do this.
