Okay, so, I tried making a menu for my twins today. It’s a bit of a mess, but I think I got it down.

First, I watched this live chat thing on Facebook. This lady, Nat, was talking about feeding twins. She went from, like, the mushy baby food to actual food you can grab. I watched her video, and she had some good ideas, so I gave them a shot.
Getting Started
I started by making a list of foods, like what they tell you to eat when you’re, you know, expecting two babies. They call it “nutrient-dense” foods, which just means the good stuff, I guess. I wrote down a bunch of fruits and veggies, some whole grains, and lean proteins, whatever that means. I just picked chicken and some fish ’cause that’s what I know.
Making the Purees
Then, I cooked some sweet potatoes and carrots until they were all soft and mushy. I threw them in my blender and made, like, a baby food puree. It was kind of gross, but the babies seemed to like it. I also did some peas, but they didn’t blend very well. Note to self: peas are tricky.
Finger Foods Adventure
After the puree thing, I tried some finger foods. I cut up some bananas and avocados ’cause they’re soft and easy to chew, or, well, gum, I guess. That was a bit messy, but kind of fun. The twins were just smearing it all over their faces. I also gave them some small pieces of cooked chicken. They seemed to like it, but one of them spat it out a couple of times. Maybe it was too big.
Cleaning Up
Man, the cleanup was something else. There was food everywhere—on the babies, on the high chairs, on the floor. I spent, like, an hour just wiping everything down. Next time, I’m putting down some newspaper or something. This is way too much work just to get some food on the table.
Trying Again Tomorrow
- The Plan: I’m going to try again tomorrow, maybe with some different foods.
- Vegetables: I saw something about plant-based meals being good, so maybe I’ll try some more veggies.
- Proteins: I’m also thinking of trying some beans or lentils.
- Grains: Some whole-grain pasta might be good, too.
I’ll cut them up small so they’re easy to eat and my twins don’t have to be so messy. It’s all about making it easy and, you know, not a total disaster.
It’s a lot of trial and error, but I think I’m getting the hang of it. I mean, they’re eating, and that’s what matters, right? And I guess it’s kind of fun, in a messy, chaotic sort of way.
