So, Roderika in Elden Ring, huh? Let me tell you about my little adventure getting her sorted. It wasn’t exactly straightforward, you know? Felt like I was doing a bunch of busywork for a bit.
First Bumping Into Her
I first stumbled upon Roderika at this place called Stormhill Shack. Just this little hut, and she’s inside, looking all miserable. Honestly, she seemed pretty down in the dumps, going on about her people and how they were going to be turned into… well, spider-things, I think she said? Creepy. She gave me the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes right then and there. Okay, cool, free stuff is always nice, but she was clearly not having a good time.
The Memento Hunt
Then she mentioned something I needed to find for her, the Chrysalids’ Memento. Of course, it was tucked away in Stormveil Castle. So, off I went into that disaster of a place. I eventually found the memento, not in a pleasant spot, mind you. It was near a big ol’ pile of… well, let’s just say body parts and a bunch of angry dogs. Grabbed it and got out of there.
Went back to Roderika in her shack, handed over the memento. She seemed a bit thankful, said she was going to head to the Roundtable Hold. And just like that, she was gone from the shack. Good for her, I thought, get away from this gloomy place.
Playing Messenger at the Roundtable
Next time I saw her, she was at the Roundtable Hold, just kind of chilling by the big fireplace. Still seemed a bit lost, talking about hearing spirits in the ashes. I was like, “Alright, what now?” She wasn’t really doing anything useful yet.
Then I talked to Hewg, the blacksmith. You know, the grumpy guy who’s always hammering away. He mentioned something about her having a knack for spirits. So, I went back to Roderika. Then back to Hewg. Then back to Roderika again. Seriously, it felt like I was their personal courier! I had to keep telling each of them what the other said. Why couldn’t they just talk? They’re literally in the same big room, not even that far apart! It was a bit annoying, felt like I was doing all the legwork to get them to cooperate.
Finally, She Gets a Job!
After enough of me running back and forth, I guess they finally sorted things out. Roderika eventually set up her own little spot, right across from Hewg. And boom, she became a Spirit Tuner. This is where she actually became super useful. I could finally upgrade my spirit ashes! My wolves went from being okay distractions to actual little powerhouses. That was a game changer for some fights, let me tell you.
It’s kinda neat, though. She starts off all scared and unsure, and then she finds this talent and actually becomes quite confident in her role. Still, the whole process of getting her there felt a bit like I was just stumbling through it, hoping I was talking to the right people in the right order. Could’ve been a bit smoother, if you ask me. But hey, at least my spirits got stronger. That’s what counts in the end, right?
